RELENTLESS CHAOS
The hits keep coming
Right now, there is so much happening (i.e., chaos) that even the White House Correspondence Dinner fiasco, a.k.a. alleged assassination attempt, is merely a continuation of a madman’s effect. For the third time an assassin went after Trump. (Well, maybe for only the second time because that thing in Pennsylvania looked scripted, like a Wrestlemania title match.) Last weekend, the would-be assassin was no more successful than the prior two assassins.
A social media post below posits that the FBI knew what was coming last Saturday night. A photo of Trump’s calm reaction, as if he was expecting what went down, makes you wonder if TACO was in on the gig. Details emerging from the thoroughly incompetent DOJ and FBI are at best sketchy. What should be much clearer by now remains loosey-goosey, like a haphazard Three Stooges skit.
Last weekend, it wasn’t a simple-minded MAGA cultist acting out over feelings of betrayal after supporting Trump. It was a teacher-of-the-month recipient from blue state California, who travelled to D.C. hoping to scalp Trump. And for his failed attempt Cole Tomas Allen, who took a selfie moments before descending toward the Washington Hilton Hotel ballroom where Trump sat, will likely spend the rest of his life in prison. Although legitimate questions remain: considering Allen wasn’t even on the same floor as Trump, and never fired a weapon, was it an assassination attempt?
Regardless, the world turns. The cost of living, Iran and the Epstein files remain in the forefront of our minds, along with other reflective observations (photos/content credit below goes to Bluesky users).
