Dear Trump voter:

The signs were flashing all along. But blinded by your lack of empathy and basic decency, you were hoodwinked into believing “those other” people would suffer the wrath of Trump’s MAGA-ism. You gleefully ignored obvious indicators that Trump is a savage narcissist. Your misguided, 1950s-era agenda stopped you from voting for a qualified woman (2016), a qualified man (2020), or another qualified woman (2024).

Your need to exert control over the bodies of women, and to control the identities of people, and to abuse people based on skin color ignored Jesus’ teaching of compassion, contained in the Bible you apparently have not read, despite your claim of being a Christian.

For a decade you stubbornly ignored Captain Obvious signs that Trump is a despicable human. After his first term, historians said Trump was the worst president America had ever produced. Yet, despite Trump showing repeated signs of criminality laced with mental illness, you granted him a second term.

In the beginning

Here are just some of the signs that failed to activate your common sense:

In 2015, Trump announced his candidacy saying, “Mexico sends us people bringing drugs, bringing crime, they’re rapists.” Sane voters headed for the exit, but not you. You settled into your favorite chair eager for more crass bluster.

At a campaign rally in 2015, Trump mocked a disabled New York Times reporter. You laughed.

Also in 2015, Trump disparaged war hero John McCain, claiming McCain “was not a war hero.” This was antithetical to your perfunctory flag waving, but you went along with it.

In 2016, Trump insulted a Gold Star family who happened to be Muslim. You stayed silent.

During the 2016 campaign, Trump fooled you with one of his biggest lies, bragging that Mexico would pay for a 2,000-mile border wall. A decade later, barely a few hundred miles of wall and no pesos from Mexico.

Near the end of the 2016 campaign, you learned of Trump’s barbarism when the Access Hollywood video came out. You compartmentalized Trump bragging, “When you’re a star you can grab ‘em by the p____.”

You went ahead and voted for Trump in 2016.

In 2018, you learned Trump paid hush money to a pornography actress. Nonetheless, Bible-thumping, self-proclaimed Christians gave Trump a pass.

In 2020, we learned that two years earlier, while in France to visit a World War I cemetery (a visit Trump punked out of because it was raining), Trump called fallen U.S. soldiers “losers and suckers.”

In 2020, Trump’s callous ignorance resulted in America leading the globe in covid infections and deaths.

You voted for Trump again in 2020.

The Big Lie

Trump’s biggest lie is the 2020 election was stolen from him, proven untrue in over 60 court decisions.

Undeterred, Trump attempted to overthrow our government. On January 6, 2021, we watched thugs trash the U.S. Capitol. Afterward, Trump somehow convinced you that what you saw – an angry mob beating cops and intent on killing Congress members – didn’t happen. You believed Trump’s provably false claim that rioters were Black Lives Matter protesters.

In 2023, you brushed it off when a judge said Trump raped E. Jean Carroll.

In 2024, when Trump was found guilty of 34 felonies you cried “hoax!”

During the 2024 campaign Trump delivered another whopper, claiming his tariffs are not paid by Americans. Dumb Trump voters fell for his tariff illusion.

Watching the 2024 RNC Convention, you applauded when Trump and Republicans openly relished indiscriminate, mass deportations. Somehow unaware that Obamacare and the Affordable Care Act are the same thing, you applauded when Trump said he’d end Obamacare.

Amazingly, against your family’s best interests, you voted for Trump in 2024.

(In a jaw dropper, 48% of Hispanics voted “yes” to being abused by ICE. Not to be outdone, nearly 1 in 5 Blacks voted “yes” to returning to the Jim Crow era. Displaying their own lack of common sense, 53% of White women voted “yes” to supporting a creep who would gladly sexually assault them and their young daughters.)

The real suckers and losers

In 2025, you looked the other way as Trump cut off aid to starving Africans. Hundreds of thousands have died. Global health organizations forecast the number likely will be millions of deaths because of Trump’s cruelty.

In America, Trump allowed SNAP food benefits to expire during the Republican-led government shutdown. Federal judges forced Trump to distribute SNAP benefits. (Whereas Jesus fed the multitudes with five loaves of bread and two fish, fake Christian Republicans were eager not to distribute SNAP emergency funds, leaving millions of Americans to starve.)

In a stunner, you dim-wittedly voted to double the cost of your own healthcare. Do you think Trump cares if you end up bankrupt or die? He and his billionaire pals are busy celebrating tax breaks that won’t trickle down to you.

Just as sane economists predicted, Trump’s tariffs caused a surge of corporate bankruptcies and a loss of factory jobs. Trump’s economy produces fewer jobs than Biden produced. DOGE? Government spending increased under Elon Musk’s failed leadership.

Meanwhile, evidence piles up showing that Trump may be a pedophile. Please show me in your Bible where Jesus says, “Grace be to those who sexually abuse children.” Or “Grace be to those who cover-up for pedophiles.”

For years you’ve been shown unassailable proof Trump is a pathological liar. A corrupt man who is now an adjudicated rapist and 34x felon. Undeterred due to your self-proclaimed, (fake) patriotic (fake) Christianity, you voted for the authoritarianism that is ruining your country and making your life more difficult.

And now, Mr. America First (another lie) steers the U.S. toward regional conflict in South America and the Caribbean while easy to trick MAGAs squirm disapprovingly. Yesterday, the inevitable happened when an ICE thug murdered an American citizen in Minneapolis.

You Trump voters bear responsibility for the sorry state of this nation.

When the smoke clears (eventually it will) many of us are OK if MAGA yahoos – the real suckers and losers – suffer prolonged consequences as a result of their unthinkable stupidity.
